    I think this quote means that a man without a goal is a man in which doesn't or function right. like for example that story with this huge ship was used in war and was the strongest. of them all. No body was able to take it down no matter what they did  it just seemed  impossible. Then one day somebody shot a missal to the rudder and the ship went out of control. It spun in circles and blew up. It did it because the rudder is what controls the ship. So in other words a man without a goal doesn't function because he doesn't know what hes aiming for. He doesn't know what he wants to accomplish so how can he do anything without knowing what he wants to do or accomplish. just like the ship couldn't work without  the rudder.

This quote relates to my 100+ Life Planning goals because it has to do with knowing your goal and you cant anything without having a goal.
